Support ReGreen Altadena
In early November, we distributed 300 free saplings and trees requested by 200 households in Altadena. The success of this effort is due to your donations, and to contributing nurseries offering us free or reduced price trees.
As we approach the end of an unforgettable year and enter the season of Giving Tuesday, AW hopes that you have the capacity to consider donating to sponsor a tree, since there is much more demand in the community than trees we had available. Our primary mission remains the protection and preservation of our beloved Altadena foothills. For 2026, we will also continue efforts to directly give back to the community through ReGreen Altadena. We fully understand that there are many deserving needs as Altadena rebuilds and recovers from the Eaton Fire catastrophe. When driving or walking around Altadena, the loss of some 75% of our tree canopy is obvious – and visceral. Read Ellen Snortland’s SubStack article about the importance of restoring our canopy.
With partners in academia and other non-profits, AW is donating and planting trees on residential properties with water service.
Our Community TreeFest and Tree Giveaway is part of our ReGreen Altadena initiative.
